Strait of Hormuz – Fastr Chat

Monday, September 28

PaladinOfProcrastination

Lavrov calling it an assassination at the UN is a big deal.

SpookyWithSense

I don't think Iran actually expected Trump to say yes.

TranquilByAccident

Total control of the strait? That's some strong language.

DruidOfDeadlines

20% of the world's oil goes through there. This affects everyone.

TentacleOfTruth

Does anyone actually believe Iran would follow through?

BestInShowToMyDog

The Strait is only 21 miles wide at its narrowest. Crazy.

FrozenFeelings

Trump waiting until after midterms to bomb? That's dark.

BreezeThroughTrees

My gas prices are already bad enough. Please no.

SonarOfSincerity

Lavrov also brought up Maduro and Cuba. Man's on a roll.

CompassPointingNowhere

This feels like it's building toward something bigger.

CrypticCrosswordFan

Iran's president said they no longer trust talks with the US.

ArchaeologyOfSelf

The fact that a 'conditional' proposal was even made shows desperation.

TrailMixMystic

Navy ships in the Persian Gulf are on high alert I bet.

SisyphusWithWifi

What happens to shipping insurance rates if this drags on?

InvisibleManVisible

Trump said 29 ships came out last night. Is that supposed to be reassuring?

NauticalNonsense

The UN speech by Lavrov was basically a list of grievances.

LavenderLogic

I wonder what China is saying behind closed doors.

CinematicUniverse_Of_One

This is the second energy crisis Europe's facing in five years.

PowerNapAdvocate

If Hormuz closes, we're looking at $150 oil minimum.

ServantOfCats

Araghchi is the foreign minister, right? He's been everywhere.
